Developing a Kids’ range that won new business
Karen Mabon Kids
To support the expansion of Karen Mabon's product offering, I played a key role in the development of a new kids' sleepwear range designed for wholesale and retail partners. As part of the project, I created a dedicated kids' brand identity, adapting the existing Karen Mabon branding for a younger audience while maintaining consistency with the wider brand.
Working closely with Karen, I transformed original illustrations into repeat patterns and product-ready artwork, developing print layouts, colour palettes and trim details that balanced creative integrity with commercial appeal. I also created CADs, packaging concepts and pitch deck materials that brought the collection to life before production, allowing potential retailers to fully visualise the opportunity.
The resulting collection successfully secured Harrods as a recurring high-value stockist after previous attempts to win the account had been unsuccessful. The success of the range also contributed to securing Selfridges as a retail partner, helping establish a new growth channel for the business.
In addition to product development, I supported the visual launch of the collection through photoshoot production and art direction, including model selection, styling decisions and creative direction. I continued to support the range through the development of retail displays and in-store experiences designed to strengthen the brand presence in-store.
